Girl Guides

Mission

SKY Guide aims to provide a platform for Seng Kang girls to explore and build on their strengths, interests and talents and develop each Guide to her fullest potential.

Vision

A SKY Guide is a dynamic and versatile young lady who is able to meet challenges with confidence and the BP (Be prepared) spirit burning bright.

THE CCA of Choice for all girls at SKSS.

Key Programmes

The Guiding programme teaches girls vital life skills such as personal goal-setting, decision-making and team-building. Girl Guides build and strengthen their leadership skills by taking the lead in Unit and Patrol activities, learning to organise events, teaching each other new skills and even participating in international events.

Guides are also involved in meaningful community service where they interact and engage the elderly at Sree Narayana Mission Home. Guiding creates many opportunities for girls to understand complex issues confronting the world today such as cyber safety and environmental sustainability.

A comprehensive 5-Point Programme enables Girl Guides to develop in 5 areas:
  • Personal & Social Development
  • Home
  • Outdoor
  • Community
  • International

Guides enjoy working for interest badges and awards that will help them to develop new skill such as Thrift Badge and the President Guide Award. More importantly, Guiding provides hands-on activities that equip them with skills to take action by leading and making an impact on the community.
